Bonnie Brae Lodge

Tariff and Calender

Bonnie Brae Lodge is a 4 bedroom single storey federation era house, built of timber and sandstone in 1905, on a large gently sloping block with an outlook over farm land to St Peter's Church (c1834), hills and distant mountains.

Substantial refurbishing has recently been completed.

The house is sunny, warm, clean and attractively set up as a self contained holiday home, fully furnished and equipped for comfortable visitor accommodation for up to 10 people, for days at a time.

Two bedrooms have queen sized beds, one has twin beds and the fourth has two sets of bunks.

The lounge room has a TV, VCR and an open fire, a separate dining room has a wood heater.

The kitchen is a good size and fully equipped for preparing meals, It is fitted with electric hot plates, a wall oven, microwave oven, a large fridge, kettle, toaster, pots pans and crockery and more. The bathroom has a deep bath plus a separate shower and a vanity unit.

The property has a large off street private parking area and a paved outdoor entertaining area at the rear.

Our service offers the whole house, already well provisioned for 'make your own' breakfast; and with basics for preparing other meals in the freezer, fridge, cupboards and drawers; as well there are materials and equipment for washing up and laundry.

Alternatively, when the property has not been pre-booked, individual rooms are available on a standby basis sharing facilities, without the provisioning. Breakfast etc. can be purchased at an additional charge

We suggest that Bonnie Brae Lodge makes an ideal base for a few days seeing Central and most of southern Tasmania; and an ideal return to civilization after a trek in the wild lands or a period in a city.

Bonnie Brae Lodge

We endeavour to rebook when arrangements change, so we do not ask for a deposit.

However if late notice prevents us re-booking then a cancellation fee will apply.

We take your safety very seriously and must therefore point out that this older house and its garden may contain unfamiliar hazards. Please keep this in mind and be careful and cautious throughout your stay.

Children especially need to know that polished floors are slippery, and garden exploring are good fun here, provided old fashioned care and good behaviour is used to keep safe.

Similarly, your care and good behaviour will keep our property safe. It is appropriate to make clear that fair wear and tear is included in the tariff, but the cost of breakage and/or damage will be added to your account.
