    • both feet with fragrant oil - twenty minutes - $25
    • full body massage - forty five minutes - $45
  • We can bring a portable massage table to your place - Kim is a good masseuse and extra good $value
  • A long deep bath and a massage at home by the fire is strongly recommended ... here it is easy, private, really special and affordable.
Internet and business services:
  • Internet cafe (free for guests).
  • Email, typing, print, fax, scan, digital camera available.
Specialty Tasmanian art timbers:
  • A section of the Emporium has become 'The Burl Shed', made like an old tin work shed, this department is overflowing with selected collected specialty Tasmanian art timbers.
  • Andrew Hall is a third generation timber man from up country here a bit. He can tell heaps about timber from the outside of a log and has a special interest in knotty, figured stuff. Each piece has its own character, it shows the life and times of the tree.

Unique burl sculptures:
  • Mostly polished bowls, boards and tables.
  • One of Andrew's passions is to discover and display practically the finest attributes of wood with character. He carves compound curves freeform, nothing is turned. Andrew says that occasionally an amusing animal shape simply demands to be released from its camouflage within a log, but mostly his work consists of polished bowls hulled from natural burl hollows, utilitarian cutting boards and feature filled slab tables.
  • Each piece is named and numbered, and sold with information about its source and relations.
Visitor information:
  • Kim is a qualified domestic travel consultant.
  • We have good local knowledge and a collection of information about local services for visitors.
  • We are happy to be in the hospitality business, to answer questions and help wherever we can.
  • Our business is open late every day to assist the waylaid and the lost.
  • More local information and links to local websites will be added here as this site develops further... starting with some photos of local views, and direct driving times.
